SandCamp was too fun, as evidenced by the photos. See you all next month! http://www.flickr.com/photos/46924124@N06/

It was a great camp!

Sandcamp 2010 is over. I am tired, a little sad, but also elated that it went so well and was liked by attendees. Thanks to all who made it happen: Fellow organizers, sponsors, Hall of Champions, and most of all the cool people who came.

Sunday Lunch

Grab your lunch at the deli and join us in the middle for another great raffle.
The deli has burgers and hot dogs for $2-3, add a beer for another couple bucks, or so they say.

Presenters: Please post your slides

We ask presenters to post their slides online somewhere. Slideshare, your own site, whatever. Update your session page with a link. Thanks a million!

Birds of a Feather

Want to create your own session to talk about what interests you? Submit a BoF(Birds of a Feather) session and talk it over with a small group of similarly interested Drupalers.

We've got a whole room set aside for BoFs and small session gatherings, so if you want to bounce some ideas around, post a session idea(all session submissions from now on will be listed as BoF sessions) and meetup with people who have similar interests.

There WILL be free food

Lunch will be provided both days. Saturday there will be sandwiches. Sunday will be pizza. Coffee and snacks all day.

Enjoy the food/venue/snacks/schedule? Hug a sponsor today.

For Saturday's dinner, join us at the After Party for either an inexpensive dinner, appetizers and/or drinks.

SandCamp Pre- and After- Party Information

The information about the SandCamp Pre (Friday) and After (Saturday) Parties have been posted! Drupal IS community powered so do take the time to meet with your fellow Drupal-ites, thank the Sponsors and share in the fun at these meetups.

Both events are near Balboa Park, not far from the session venue. Friday we will meet at the Top of the Park and Saturday we're reserved some space at Saigon on Fifth. More info on both of these can be found here or click on the Forums menu and look for 'After Hours'.

Hope to see you there!

One week to SANDCamp - please vote for sessions and complete your profile

Hello SANDCamp 2010 attendees:

It is just one week until SANDCamp (aka DrupalCamp San Diego) and we are as excited as you hopefully are about the event. We have a great selection of session proposals, an ideal, spacious venue, free food and drinks both days (unless we hit a major roadblock here), and most likely great weather.

We have three important requests to you:

  • If you haven't done so already, please complete your profile at http://sandcamp.org. The profile information empowers everyone: you, us, and all attendees in general. Given our image-rich site it helps if you upload a picture of yourself instead of being represented by a generic icon.
  • Likewise, please vote for sessions which weren't proposed yet when you registered. This helps us select what interests you and gives late proposals a chance to float to the top.
  • Finally, peruse the About section of the site. If you plan to stay in a hotel check our Sleep page for deals. If you are new to Drupal check our Newbie Central section, and maybe preinstall Drupal on your laptop.

We're looking forward to seeing you next Saturday at the Hall of Champions in Balboa Park in sunny San Diego!

Christoph and the rest of the organizing team
